I bought this amazing picture book back years ago, whenever I read it to my students, it transports me back to cherished memories from my own childhood. Since it was Father's Day in the US yesterday, I thought it would be the perfect occasion to share this book with you all.
當初在書店翻到這本繪本時，就被繪本裡的小女孩那天真無畏懼，想要保護爸爸的模樣給感動。剛好昨天遇上美國的父親節，我決定讀了這本書來讀給小朋友聽～

This story beautifully captures the special bond between a father and daughter. Even though the dad only has a few sentences in the book, you can still feel the love and tenderness he has for his daughter. As the story unfolds, the little girl makes promises to her dad that she will forever protect him.
故事的一開始，即呈現了爸爸對女兒最溫柔的愛與保護：「如果你能找到一個保護你的人，那就太好了。」這一句話，是字字句句溫暖到心坎裡。也喚起小女孩的好奇心：「爸爸，『保護』是什麼意思啊？」在爸爸對女兒解釋了什麼是保護後，小女孩開始天馬行空地想像自己要如何保護她最愛的爸爸。

The part of this book I loved the most, is the little girl uses her vivid imagination and boundless love knows no bounds.
The author did an incredible job capturing the innocent voice of the little girl as she expresses her commitment to protecting her dad. It's absolutely adorable! This book truly highlights the reciprocal nature of love. The story also serves as a gentle reminder for us to regularly express our love and care to our parents because, like us, they too can feel tired or vulnerable sometimes.

用小女孩的童言童語想保護爸爸的樣子，來展現愛是雙向的，也提醒了我自己，別忘了適切地對爸媽表達愛和關懷。因為，他們跟我們一樣，有時也會感到疲勞和受傷的時候～
